Agfa debuts CR 10-X in North America

Agfa HealthCare has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for its CR 10-X tabletop digitizer, which is now available across North America.

The computed radiography (CR) unit can handle radiography and orthopedic, chiropractic, and full-leg/full-spine applications, according to the vendor. It offers high-resolution scanning of 100 µm pixels at a rate of 34 imaging plates per hour in a single-cassette feed, Agfa said.

CR 10-X includes networking capabilities and comes with Musica2 digital x-ray image processing software. It can also be integrated with Agfa's NX workstation for image identification and quality control.

Agfa noted that since the product's launch at the 2012 European Congress of Radiology, CR 10-X has typically been installed in Europe and Asia Pacific in small hospitals and private practices for both human and veterinary use.
