Quantum Medical Imaging will highlight the performance of three digital radiography (DR) systems at the 2012 RSNA meeting.
Quantum's DRive is billed as a cost-effective upgrade to the firm's existing systems. It offers a 17 x 17-inch fixed panel and/or a 14 x 17-inch tethered panel with either cesium iodide or 140-micron gadolinium oxysulfide detectors.
Quantum, a division of Carestream Health, will also display wireless-on-demand DRX-Trays for its Q-Rad DR systems. When inserted into the DRX-Tray, the DRX detector's wireless connection is deactivated, hardwiring it to the imaging platform. The hardwire circuit is then used for all data communications. The tray provides electrical power to avoid draining the detector battery.
Quantum will also show its Q-Vision HF Series radiographic generators, which offer high-frequency imaging for efficient x-ray production with power levels up to 80 kW. The generators feature a high-definition LCD monitor with touchscreen control, intuitive multilanguage instrumentation, and a built-in webcam.
