Carestream Health has installed its digital radiography (DR) technology at Children's Hospital at Erlanger in Chattanooga, TN.
The hospital installed Carestream's DRX-Evolution with long-length imaging software to optimize image quality for applications such as long-length exams for pediatric surgeons and other specialists. Each month, the radiology department conducts hundreds of long-length images for joint surveys, as well as for diagnosing and treating conditions such as scoliosis and hip dysplasia.
Carestream is touting the suitability of its cesium iodide detectors for improving image quality and reducing radiation dose, an important consideration in pediatric imaging, according to the company.
