Konica Minolta's AeroDR meets U.S. security standard

Konica Minolta Medical Imaging's AeroDR wireless flat-panel digital radiography (DR) detector is now compliant with a U.S. government security standard.

Specifically, AeroDR is compliant with the Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) Publication 140-2, a security standard required by the U.S. Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs (VA) healthcare facilities for all wireless communications. The standard is a security accreditation program for hardware and software used in U.S. government departments and industries, such as VA hospitals, that collect, store, transfer, and disseminate sensitive but unclassified information.

The compliance covers the family of AeroDR flat-panel DR detectors and the CS-7 control station, Konica Minolta said.
