Rayence plans to feature its new and enhanced x-ray detectors and software at RSNA 2015.
Among the new units are 10 x 12-inch and 17 x 17-inch wireless flat-panel detectors. Similar to the Rayence 14 x 17-inch wireless C-Series detector introduced last year, the new detectors use standard cassette sizes, come with either cesium or gadolinium scintillators, have carbon fiber construction, are water-resistant, and have a built-in memory that stores up to 100 images, among other features. Both are expected to be available for sale mid-2016.
Rayence will also showcase its newly enhanced XmaruView software for the RU-3000 universal digital radiography (DR) system. The software comes with new features such as harmonic stitching with automatic height compensation (AHC). This enables the unit to be automatically positioned sequentially for spine and long-leg examinations while simultaneously adjusting for different patient heights.
Together with XmaruView's autostitching technology, up to three exposures can be viewed seamlessly at the touch of a button. Another unique feature of the software is its new dynamic mode, which allows the technologist to "touch and drag" from a graphic display on the workstation to position the detector angle, source-to-image distance, gantry height, and arm rotation.
Similarly, a new remote collimator control feature allows collimation adjustment from the workstation using the same method. RU-3000's compact U-arm design features dual telescoping arm movement that permits installation in settings with ceiling heights of just 8 ft. Its fully motorized movements can be automatically programmed to user-specific radiographic positions using the touchscreen located tube side, a handheld remote control, or the technologist workstation, the firm said.
Rayence will also tout its new XmaruView 4.0 image acquisition software, Rayence VRPACS, EMR Bridge software, and cloud storage.
