Rayence acquires x-ray firm Osko

The parent company of dental digital sensor developer Rayence has acquired Miami-based Osko Digital X-Ray Solutions.

Osko sells ultrasound systems, digital radiography (DR) systems, and PACS and autostitching software. Recently, Osko expanded its reach into the Mid-East Asian market after securing a government contracting business, and it also has expanded into the Latin American market. Rayence expects to use this acquisition to further its business in the U.S.

At RSNA 2016, Rayence plans to showcase XR5, a floor-mounted tube DR system capable of x-ray tube autotracking and multi-image autostitching. Osko produces and supplies to Rayence a newly developed veterinary DR system, MyVet, with a source-to-image receptor distance of 72 inches.

Osko will be the main resource center for development, production, logistics, and customer services, while Rayence, located in New Jersey, will be devoted to all marketing and sales activities.
