Guerbet launches urology x-ray system at AUA 2018

At this week's American Urological Association (AUA) meeting in San Francisco, contrast developer Guerbet has launched a new digital x-ray system that performs radiography and radiography/fluoroscopy (R/F).

Called L-F Hydra Vision Digital, it includes a moving imaging system that enables patients to stay stationary during procedures such as ureteroscopy. The system has a 750-lb weight rating and can be used for urological, gastroenterological, and gynecological interventional procedures, as well as for treatment planning and diagnostic use.

L-F Hydra Vision Digital also includes a 43 x 43-cm R/F detector for optimized image resolution; lower x-ray dosing; high-resolution radiographic and fluoro images; a redesigned ergonomic foot switch; a streamlined image system displayed on a one-touch interface; and an optional third monitor.

The first installations of the system are planned for the third quarter of the 2018 calendar year.
