Digital x-ray manufacturer KA Imaging has garnered a medical device license from Health Canada for its Sight flat-panel detector.
Now available in Canada, Sight comes in 38 x 46-cm and 46 x 46-cm versions, according to the vendor. The 38 x 46-cm detector weighs 2.7 kg, while the 46 x 46-cm detector weighs 3.2 kg.
Both detectors have a Wi-Fi option that provides for two-second image transfer, Ka said. They also support automatic exposure detection and can be used with any x‑ray system, according to the firm.
