Imaging Engineering has secured U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for its Insight Agile DRF portable fluoroscopy system.
Building upon the company's Insight DRF fluoroscopic imaging platform for fixed radiography/fluoroscopy systems, Insight Agile DRF features new detector, dose management, and image processing technology at power levels low enough for portable fluoroscopy, according to Imaging Engineering. The system can accommodate neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations, the company said.
It's intended for integration by OEMs into niche imaging modalities targeting portable and mobile fluoroscopic applications, according to the firm.
