Digital x-ray company Nanox has opened a new semiconductor chip fabrication plant in South Korea.
The facility will be the main production site of Nanox.Source, a microelectromechanical system (MEMS) chip that produces the digital x-ray source for the company's Nanox.ARC system. The facility, which spans 12,000 sq m, including a 1,200-sq-m MEMS clean room, should be ready for production by mid-2022.
Additionally, Nanox has been building production line capabilities and establishing an operational assembly line at its Israeli facility to meet an expected demand in production and preparation for shipments of the Nanox.ARC system.
