CPS Innovations of Knoxville, TN, has installed its PET-CT scanner with lutetium oxyorthosilicate (LSO) scintillation detectors at the University of California, Los Angeles, and the system is performing 7-minute whole-body scans, according to CPS.
CPS developed the first combination PET-CT system in the mid-1990s. CPS (CTI PET Systems) is a joint venture between Siemens Medical Solutions of Iselin, NJ, and CTI Molecular Imaging, also of Knoxville.
