Radiopharmaceutical supplier Tyco Healthcare/Mallinckrodt of St. Louis has implemented a new training and certification program for its technicians.
The 10-week Mallinckrodt Nuclear Pharmacy Technician program includes training in areas, such as dosages, aseptic techniques, inventory management, and quality control. The program is administered by Nuclear Education Online, which is a joint venture between the University of Arkansas and the University of New Mexico.
