Ultrasound and breast imaging facility Weinstein Imaging Associates of Pittsburgh has installed scintimammography technology from Dilon Technologies of Newport News, VA.
The facility has installed the company's Dilon 6800 high-resolution gamma camera, which is designed to detect breast cancers and evaluate questionable findings from mammography or ultrasound.
Since installation, Weinstein Imaging Associates noted that it has used the device in 26 patient cases, diagnosing cancer in two of those cases.
