DIA to host medical imaging forum

Six organizations will meet on October 16 and 17 to discuss the necessary steps to achieve harmonization and standardization on the use of medical imaging in drug development research.

The forum will bring together the Drug Information Association (DIA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA), Council on Radionuclides and Radiopharmaceuticals (CORAR), Medical Imaging Contrast Agent Association (MICAA), and Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) for the Medical Imaging Stakeholders Call for Action: Harmonization of Imaging Review Charters and Integration of Imaging in Therapeutic Development at the University of Maryland College Park campus in Adelphi, MD.

Session topics will include:

  • Standardization of imaging charters across therapeutic areas: Oncology, cardiovascular, and rheumatology
  • Best medical imaging review practices
  • Technical management of the site-core lab interface
  • Contents of data integrity and statistical analysis plan
