Optical imaging developer Spectral Molecular Imaging (SMI) of Beverly Hills, CA, has named Sam Raz, MD, as vice president for international business development.
For the past six years, Raz has been CEO of Shiluv, a nonprofit organization for the integration of children with Down syndrome with normative preschool children.
He also serves as CEO of three start-up ventures in Israel, and in 2004 he became president of Mind Fountain-Medical Technology, a management R&D company for medical devices and diagnostics.
SMI is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cascade Technologies of Calgary, Alberta.
