Imaging and therapeutic radiopharmaceutical developer Immunomedics has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Cytogen of Princeton, NJ, and its marketing partner C.R. Bard of Murray Hill, NJ. Filed in the U.S. District Court of New Jersey, the suit alleges that Cytogen’s ProstaScint prostate cancer imaging agent infringes on a patent held by Immunomedics.
Immunomedics markets its CEA-Scan colorectal cancer imaging agent in the U.S. and Europe, and its LeukoScan bone infection imaging agent in Europe. Several other diagnostic imaging and therapeutic agents are in clinical trials, according to the Morris Plains, NJ-based firm.
