PET system manufacturer Positron today reported 1999 revenues of $1.5 million, down 25% compared with the $2 million reported in 1998. During the year (end-December 31, 1999), the Houston-based company had a net loss of $1.4 million, compared with a net loss of $724,000 in 1998.
For the past seven months Positron has concentrated on rebuilding the infrastructure needed to restart its operations, according to president Gary Brooks. The company has focused on reestablishing its sales and marketing operations, as well as ramping up manufacturing to begin shipping its Posicam HZ series scanners, according to the firm.
