Marconi, Shimadzu extend nuclear medicine deal

Marconi Medical Systems and Shimadzu have extended their long-standing nuclear medicine distribution relationship in Japan for two years. Shimadzu of Kyoto, Japan, began distributing Marconi (then Picker International) nuclear medicine systems there 10 years ago.

Shimadzu also distributes Marconi's MRI systems in the Japanese market, along with its own product family, and recently announced a multiyear distribution deal with Shimadzu for Marconi’s multislice CT scanners.
