Syncor income rises in 2000

Radiopharmaceutical provider and imaging center chain operator Syncor International reported 2000 net sales of $629.4 million, up 21% from the $520.3 million posted in 1999. For the year (end-December 31), the Woodland Hills, CA-based firm had net income of $29.5 million, compared with net income of $19.2 million last year.

For the fourth quarter, Syncor had net sales of $170.6 million, up 26.7% compared with the $134.6 million recorded in the same period in 1999. Syncor had net income of $6.7 million, compared with net income of $4.6 million last year. The numbers reflected strong sales growth in all of Syncor’s businesses, according to president and CEO Robert Funari.
