GE Medical Systems of Waukesha, WI, and PET services provider Mobile P.E.T. Systems have signed a three-year, multi-unit strategic partnership agreement. The two firms had formed an earlier partnership in August 1999, and Mobile P.E.T. has ordered several GE PET systems for both mobile and fixed-site use through that relationship.
The new strategic partnership agreement includes purchase commitments from Mobile P.E.T. Systems for both the GE Advance NXi PET scanner and cyclotron units. With this agreement, GE Healthcare Financial Solutions will also provide San Diego-based Mobile P.E.T. Systems with $50 million in lease financing to facilitate its expansion, according to the companies.
