NeuroPhysics enters animal imaging market

SPECT developer NeuroPhysics is broadening the clinical applications of its NeuroFocus biomedical imaging system. The Shirley, MA-based vendor plans to deploy the scanner in small-animal imaging for research and preclinical drug development.

NeuroPhysics believes the scanner's 20-cm field-of-view is ideal for general research requiring the full-body scanning of animals. In addition, NeuroFocus can serve as either a full-body or organ-specific animal imaging system, or a human brain scanner.
