Schering buys rest of CIS bio

Pharmaceutical firm Schering has purchased the remaining 40% of radiopharmaceutical firm CIS bio international from Areva of France. Berlin-based Schering bought a 60% ownership interest in CIS in 2000.

Schering said that the acquisition and integration of CIS bio international supports its strategy of becoming a substantial player in the global radiopharmaceutical market. CIS bio develops, produces, markets, and distributes radiopharmaceuticals for diagnosis and therapy.
