Radiopharmaceutical provider Syncor International reported fourth-quarter net sales of $221.8 million, up 24.2% from the $170.6 million posted in the same period last year. For the quarter (end-December 31), the Woodland Hills, CA-based firm had net income of $8.8 million, compared with net income of $6.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2000.
For the year, Syncor had net sales of $774.7 million, up 23.1% compared with the $629.4 million reported in 2000. The firm had net income of $37.9 million, compared with net income of $29.5 million in 2000.
Looking ahead, Syncor said that it remains confident that it will meet current analysts' expectations for 2002. The company expects greater than 20% revenue growth and free cash flow ranging from $15 million to $20 million.
