PET developer CTI of Knoxville, TN, plans to improve the DICOM connectivity of its PET scanners through an agreement with medical technology firm Zmed of Ashland, MA.
Under the deal, CTI will incorporate Zmed’s Zpush software into the operator’s console of ECAT PET scanners. This will enable ECAT users to output images as DICOM PET information object definition (IOD) files, making it easier for these images to be integrated with PACS and radiation therapy networks.
