Solid-state gamma camera developer Digirad reported record 2001 revenue of $32 million, up from $7.1 million in 2000. In addition, the firm said it booked 2002 first-quarter revenue of $9.1 million, up 42% from the $6.4 million recorded in the first quarter of 2001.
Digirad attributed the revenue growth to a significant increase in sales of its gamma cameras, as well as expansion of its nuclear imaging services business to new markets. The privately held San Diego-based firm did not release profitability figures.
