MDS Nordion focuses on oncology software solutions

Canadian isotope supplier MDS Nordion has restructured its oncology therapy division to focus exclusively on its oncology software products under the Oncentra product line.

Nordion launched the first of the Oncentra products last year: Oncentra Oncology Information Management, which includes an electronic patient folder, DICOM archive, and resource scheduler.

According to the Kanata, Ontario vendor, the Oncentra line can connect to hardware from a variety of vendors, including Varian Medical Systems, Siemens Medical Solutions, and Elekta Oncology Systems.
