Mobile PET Systems reported fiscal 2002 revenues of $17.6 million, up approximately 145% compared with the $7.2 million posted in fiscal 2001. For the period (end-June 30), the San Diego-based vendor had a net loss of $4.8 million, compared with a net loss of $9.6 million in fiscal 2001.
President and COO Paul Crowe said that the improved financial results were attributable to an increase in utilization per operating unit and a reduction in operating overhead. Crowe said that the company will expand its service business through organic growth, and that the firm projects strong revenue growth in the PET imaging service sector through fiscal 2003.
