Siemens adds music, video capabilities to nuclear line

Siemens Medical Solutions has introduced music and DVD playback features to its line of nuclear imaging equipment. The e.media technology is now standard on the Malvern, PA-based vendor’s e.cam signature series of gamma cameras. The product permits patients to watch a movie or listen to music while undergoing an exam. According to the company, this could improve diagnostic image quality by making patients feel more at ease.
