IPL debuts multimodality fusion imaging marker

Nuclear medicine product developer Isotope Products Laboratories has released a sealed-source multimodality marker designed for fusion imaging. The marker allows users to align images when comparing studies from x-ray, CT, PET, and SPECT scanners, according to the Valencia, CA-based firm.

IPL's marker is reusable and is presented as a sealed source, eliminating the need for filling, mixing, or assembly, and has a useful life of up to two years, the company said. The University of Virginia has been a beta site for the IPL marker since September, according to IPL.
