As part of a court settlement, Isotope Products Laboratories (IPL) has granted licenses to International Isotopes and RadQual to reproduce radioactive sources for nuclear medical imaging.
In return, the Californian subsidiary of IPL parent Eckert & Ziegler dropped its compensation claims suit against the firms. Valencia, CA-based IPL had filed a suit against the two companies and against former employees of the DuPont radioactive source division after they recently offered a series of radioactive components that had until this time been produced by IPL and DuPont, according to IPL.
IPL claimed that it had acquired exclusive rights to these products in 2001 with its takeover of DuPont's radioactive source division.
