Hitachi Medical Systems America will be launching its SceptreC cardiac PET scanner at next week's annual Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM) meeting in San Diego.
SceptreC allows for utilization of both rubidium-82 for myocardial perfusion and 18-FDG for myocardial viability procedures, according to the Twinsburg, OH-based firm. The scanner can provide assessment of both stress and rest myocardial perfusion in less than 40 minutes, Hitachi said.
SceptreC features 3D Pico electronics for high-count-rate capability, and includes the Emory Cardiac Software PETtools for cardiac quantification, according to Hitachi.
