Prepping for CIIP exam; shortage of Ceretec agent

Dear AuntMinnie Member,

Are you a PACS administrator looking for a good study resource for the upcoming Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) exam on September 28? For the best help in the business, look no further than AuntMinnie.com's new Online College of PACS Administration.

Our newest feature consists of three online multimedia courses presented by noted PACS educator Herman Oosterwijk of OTech in Aubrey, TX. The content of each course is designed to mirror questions on the upcoming CIIP exam, giving you an edge in studying for the test.

The first course deals with importing/exporting external imaging studies into your PACS network, and is available by clicking here. The other two courses will be available in the weeks to come.

In other news, nuclear medicine physicians will soon be experiencing shortages of Ceretec, an important radiopharmaceutical used in brain and infection imaging, after the agent's supplier was forced to close a factory in the U.K. due to heavy flooding. Ceretec will likely be off the market once current inventory has been used up, and the facility may not reopen to produce more until the end of the year.
