Gamma camera probe developer Neoprobe of Dublin, OH, has launched a high-energy gamma detection probe at this year's Society of Surgical Oncology's (SSO) annual Cancer Symposium in Phoenix, the company said.
The new probe is intended for the detection of high-energy radioactive isotopes, such as FDG, in surgical oncology procedures. It is compatible with all models of the company's neo2000 and neoprobe GDS systems, Neoprobe said.
Neoprobe expects to begin shipping the probe in the middle of the year.
