Dear AuntMinnie Member,
The AuntMinnie.com staff is hitting the road this week, with onsite reporting from several medical conferences under way.
From the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) meeting in Boston, staff writer Erik L. Ridley reports on a pair of studies that offer a new twist on the radiology reading room of the future.
A team from the U.S. and Singapore found that using a remote control from the Wii video game system offered a viable alternative to the traditional computer keyboard and mouse, while another group showed that playing Baroque classical music can lead to higher levels of relaxation and work satisfaction in the reading room. Coming up later this week -- onsite reports from the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) meeting in Seattle and the Society of Breast Imaging's (SBI) postgraduate course in Colorado Springs, CO.
