PET developer Naviscan of San Diego has signed a nonexclusive licensing agreement with an undisclosed imaging company for intellectual property.
The new licensing agreement covers the use of Stereo Navigator, a medical method and apparatus for the localization and biopsy of lesions. The patent enables PET scanners and gamma cameras to obtain emission data, locate abnormal tissue, and process data to guide a biopsy needle to acquire a sample.
This is the second licensing agreement for the technology, Naviscan said.
