Radiotherapy and radioisotope developer Eckert & Ziegler Isotope Products of Berlin has reported a sharp increase in sales in the company's third quarter.
For the period, the company had sales of 25.5 million euros ($37.9 million), representing growth of 37% over the previous year. Year-to-date sales totaled 77.8 million euros ($115.7 million), representing growth of 51% over the same period of 2008.
The company's nine-month after-tax profit was 5.3 million euros ($7.8 million), an increase of 79% compared with the same nine-month period in 2008 (excluding charges from the company's sale of its implant division to International Brachytherapy of Belgium).
