Molecular imaging vendor Positron of Indianapolis has received a license from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to handle radioactive material, the company said.
Positron's facility in Fishers, IN, may now process radioactive material. A radioactive material handling license allows Positron to test equipment and develop new technologies, including pharmaceuticals, according to Positron.
Positron expects the license to enhance its sales efforts, allow new revenue streams, and offer opportunities to partner with pharmaceutical companies, government agencies, inventors, and universities, the vendor said.
