Nuclear medicine firm UltraSPECT of Auburndale, MA, announced that its two cardiac products, Xpress.Cardiac and Xpert3.Cardiac, will support thallium (Tl-201) imaging.
The products utilize UltraSPECT's proprietary wide-beam reconstruction (WBR) technology to enable reduced-dose and enhanced-resolution thallium imaging to provide an alternative to technetium (Tc-99m), which remains in short supply worldwide.
The Tl-201 stress/rest protocol using the Xpress.Cardiac is performed with scan times and radiopharmaceutical doses as defined by the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
