Sales growth in three business segments propelled 2009 revenues for radioisotope manufacturer International Isotopes of Idaho Falls, ID, but not enough to avoid a deeper net loss (end-December 31).
Total revenue increased to $6.1 million, a gain of 9% from $5.6 million in 2008. The company's net loss for 2009, however, also increased to $4.6 million, compared with a net loss of $2.2 million in 2008.
The company attributed the increased loss to expenses for its proposed uranium deconversion and fluorine extraction facility and the write-down of cobalt inventory.
