ASNC's Carter passes away

Steven Carter, executive director of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC) of Bethesda, MD, passed away September 20.

Carter served as ASNC's executive director for more than nine years.

He previously served as the executive director of the Kansas Medical Society and Minnesota Medical Society before joining the American Academy of Ophthalmology as senior vice president of communications. He joined ASNC in April 2001.

Inurnment will be at 11 a.m. on December 7 at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.

Donations in Carter's honor may be sent to the Nuclear Cardiology Foundation.
