The U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) has published its proposal for revised minimum standards on the preparation, compounding, dispensing, and repackaging of sterile and nonsterile radiopharmaceuticals.
The guidelines cover both human and animal use and include requirements for personal, staff, and environmental safety, as well as radiation risks and radiopharmaceutical quality.
USP will also offer an "open-microphone" session on October 10 to highlight proposals and answer questions about the approach and methodology of the new chapter. Registration should be completed by September 5.
Public comment will continue until November 30.
