Epix and Schering settle patent dispute

Contrast agent developers Schering of Berlin, Germany, and Epix Medical of Cambridge, MA, have settled a patent dispute over MRI contrast technology. Epix has agreed to grant Schering a worldwide, royalty-bearing license to patents that Epix claims cover Schering's Eovist liver MRI agent. In return, Schering has agreed to withdraw its opposition to a European patent that Epix holds related to the technology.
