Siemens, Emory pursue high-field MR research

Siemens Medical Solutions has signed an agreement with Emory University's Biomedical Imaging Technology Center (BITC) to develop new clinical MR applications. BITC will use the Iselin, NJ-based vendor's Magnetom Trio 3-tesla scanner to investigate the physics and chemistry of 3-tesla MRI and to enhance the hardware and software of 3-tesla technology, according to Siemens.
