MRI device developer MR Instruments of Minneapolis said it is on track to commercialize a new 7-tesla coil based on the company's transverse electro magnetic (TEM) technology.
The coils use proprietary ICE (inductively coupled elements) with the TEM technology, and are suitable for MRI, functional MRI (fMRI), and MR spectroscopy (MRS), according to the firm.
MR Instruments said it will release an entire family of products for these applications in 2006.
