Computer-aided detection (CAD) software developer Confirma of Kirkland, WA, has debuted innovations for CADstream, its CAD product for breast MRI, at the 2005 RSNA meeting in Chicago.
A new feature for CADstream is an expanded version of SureLoc, an interventional guidance tool, which reports needle target for both grid and pillar methods in real time, displays images and needle position in the patient's orientation, and is compatible with all interventional guidance equipment.
Confirma highlighted works-in-progress CADalog, a CADstream feature that provides storage and retrieval of studies, and az3D Contrast Acuity by Clario, a CADstream visualization tool for the evaluation of study enhancement patterns.
Confirma is also highlighting its Access Breast Coil, with 7-channel phased-array design for parallel imaging. Access Breast Coil is compatible with Siemens Medical Solutions' 1.5-tesla scanners, and a 4-channel version of the device is under clinical investigation.
