Siemens makes 1st Magnetom Lumina U.S. install

Siemens Healthineers has made its first U.S. installation of its Magnetom Lumina 3-tesla MRI scanner at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Magnetom Lumina features a 70-cm bore and BioMatrix patient personalization technology with Siemens' Select & Go interface, which helps with patient positioning, the vendor said. The company's Day Optimizing Throughput software automates exams, while its Turbo Suite tool reduces scan time by as much as 50%, according to Siemens.
