Artificial intelligence (AI) software developer RapidAI has secured $25 million in funding, which it plans to use to support further development of its AI software for cerebrovascular imaging around the world.
Rapid AI's Rapid platform uses AI algorithms to process images from noncontrast CT, CT angiography, CT perfusion, and MRI diffusion and perfusion scans. The platform includes Rapid ICH, Rapid Aspects, Rapid CTA, Rapid LVO, Rapid CTP, and Rapid MRI, and has been trained on more than 1 million scans taken from 1,600 hospitals around the world, the company said.
The funding comes from Lennertz & Co. of Hamburg, Germany, according to the firm.
