SyntheticMR, GE extend collaboration to neuro MRI

SyntheticMR has signed an agreement with GE Healthcare that will extend the firm's SyMRI software into neuroimaging applications.

GE currently sells a customized image reconstruction technique developed by SyntheticMR called MAGiC (Magnetic Resonance Image Compilation) that generates multiple contrast-weighted images and parametric maps in a single five-minute scan.

The new agreement now allows GE to offer MAGiC Neuro, a neuroradiology system that generates tissue volumes, myelin-correlated volumes, and quantitative data of the patient.
