Kodak debuts oncology cassettes

Eastman Kodak has released lightweight oncology film cassettes EC-L LW and EC-V LW. The two cassettes, which are 45% lighter than the Rochester, NY-based vendor's X-Omat cassette, weigh 4.6 pounds.

EC-L LW is used for localization, while EC-V LW is used for verification, according to Kodak. The localization comes in three speeds. Kodak said that both cassettes can be used in the firm's 700Plus and 7000 multiloaders.

In other Kodak news, the company has introduced a darkroom film feeder for its miniloader 2000P, and a van kit for its miniloader 2000. The film feeder allows facilities to attach the miniloader to a darkroom, while the van kit enables the miniloader 2000 to be deployed for mobile imaging applications, according to Kodak.
