Electromagnetic localization developer Calypso Medical Technologies of Seattle is discussing new technologies being developed with partners at this week's American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) meeting in Philadelphia.
In one development, the radiation oncology systems division of Philips Medical Systems of Andover, MA, expects to provide enhancements to its treatment planning systems with target localization data from the Calypso 4D localization system as a result of collaboration between the two firms, Calypso said.
In other news, Calypso said it will collaborate on future offerings with radiation oncology information technology developer Impac Medical Systems of Mountain View, CA. Impac intends to integrate target localization data generated from the Calypso 4D localization system into its electronic medical record (EMR) software, Calypso said.
